How to choose a hair dryer for home use

1. Selection of hairdryer power

The main function of the hair dryer is to dry hair, the higher the power, the faster the drying speed and the higher the noise.

General home or dormitory hair dryer can choose about 1200W power. If you want to do some hair styling, you can choose more 

than 1500W power, of course, to consider the capacity of the line. Hair dryers with too little ower take a long time and tend to eva-

porate the moisture in the hair. The hair will be dry after blowing.

2. Hair dryer temperature range

Hair dryers are designed with natural, warm and hot air temperatures. The warm air temperature is around 50°C and the hot air will be set above 70°C. Professional hair dryers will also have a cold air button.

Professional hairdryers will also have a cold air button. Cold air can be used to fix a style that has already been blown. Regardless of  

the setting, it is best to maintain a constant temperature to avoid overheating and to protect your hair.

3. Choice of nozzle type

Hair dryers can be used on a daily basis without an external nozzle, if you need to fix your hair style, you can use an external nozzle. 

There are two main types of nozzles: air-collecting nozzles and air-diffusing nozzles.

The air-collecting nozzle concentrates the airflow. When blowing straight hair and dealing with some details, it can be used in conjunction with the air-collecting nozzle. The diffuser nozzle is a scattering type, which can make the airflow even, and can be used in conjunction with the diffuser nozzle when blowing curly hair, which 

can maintain the original volume of the hair and make the hair more fluffy.

4. Body material selection

There are two main body materials for hair dryers, one is metal and the other is plastic. Metal hair dryers are durable and can with stand higher temperatures. However, it will be heavier, with poor heat preservation performance, and the price will be higher; plastic  hair dryer is lightweight, with good heat preservation performance, easy to clean, but easy to aging, and poor high temperature resistance.

5. Voltage marking and quality

When buying, pay attention to the rated voltage value of the hair dryer indicated on the product nameplate or manual. The domestic standard voltage is 220V, check whether the imported hairdryer is in line with the domestic use, need to pay special attention. In the details, to see that the hair dryer should be free of abnormal sounds and odors, the noise should be small; when running at full speed,  the hand sensor has no obvious vibration; there should be an overheating protection device.
